  • plan, lead, manage and coordinate the operational, financial, material and human resources requirements of a unit that is responsible for the delivery of a centralized tax administration;
  • support and guide a values-based and inclusive team;
  • identify developments and trends in compliance issues and make recommendations for legislative, policy and procedural changes to improve the equity and efficiency of relevant legislation and related processes as it relates to tax administration;
  • contribute to the success of the branch/ministry/corporate strategic plans by supporting the implementation of such plans, policies and programs;
  • ensure compliance with corporate quality and customer service standards;
  • build and maintain partnerships with internal and external groups and agencies to develop innovative approaches to delivery of ministry/division/regional/district office business plan objectives;
  • control and monitor the allocated operation budget for the unit/program.
