Job Description

MMIST, the world leader in Aerial Delivery Systems is seeking to enhance its sales activities with the addition of a Business Development Lead.Our products and services have been at the heart of sophisticated military systems for more 15 years, keeping people safe, enabling delivery of critical supplies, enhancing the capability of land, sea, and air services. We are headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, with customers and partners in more than 30 countries.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote sales of wholistic aerial delivery solutions and systems to existing/new clients
  • Identify and solicit potential clients worldwide, with specific focus on humanitarian, military and commercial customers.
  • Assess clients needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or services
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients needs
  • Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts, being ready to meet with customers worldwide, with expected travel to hard-to-reach area and developing countries.
  • Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
  • Troubleshoot in-house, or in hostile environments technical problems related to equipment
  • May train customers staff in-house and abroad in the operation and maintenance of equipment
  • May supervise the activities of other technical staff and sales specialists.

Required Qualifications:
  • A university degree or college diploma in a program related to the product or service is usually required, however, experience in the humanitarian and development field and aviation sector is preferred. Knowledge/experience of airdrop operations in hostile/remote environments is considered a plus.
  • Fluency in a foreign language of NATO Member State to facilitate sales, import or export of technical goods or services is considered a plus.
  • Experience in MS Office Products: Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 40% of the time.
  • Able to work in an office and indoor or outdoor industrial environments.
