We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and glad you want to be part of a team of talented individuals who together can change the way the world communicates.Requisition ID: 66004Job DescriptionThe Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa is developing wireless integrated circuit components and has a RF Application Engineering Co-Op opportunity available for a 12 month period starting from Jan 04, 2022.The successful candidate will report to the Senior Application Engineering Manager. The ideal student will be required to apply sound engineering skills to a variety of tasks in the area of WiFi / IoT device evaluation, customer board tuning and testing including PA, LNA, switch and FEM products.Job Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
  • Familiar with fundamental electronic circuits and principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, and Word) and having an aptitude of quickly learning other company specific softwares.
  • Having basic knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience in using test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Willing to work in a lab hands-on environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assisting application engineers with their customer support activities.
  • Validating the new integrated circuits and module products.
  • Lab testing of RF circuits, presenting test results, and participating in customer SCH/Layout reviews.
  • Working on small projects and task assignments of various degrees of complexity, ranging from device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation, etc.
