  • Integrated avionics and flight deck systems
  • Aircraft navigation and datalink system
  • Familiarity with Civil Navigation (e.g. DO-236, DO-229 and or DO-283)
  • Familiarity with FMS functions like Graphic flight planning, perf, TOLD, RNAV, RNP)
  • Familiarity with Datalink functions like AOC, ADS-C, CPDLC, ATN, D-ATIS
  • Analyze ground and flight test data to verify system performance and functionality
  • Work with suppliers and internal customers to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve aircraft build or test issues. Review and analyze test results. Manage, review and approve the deliverables of the Avionic system suppliers.
  • Support internal (PDR, CDR) and external design reviews as well as program reviews
  • Show compliance to 14CFR part 25FAA, TCCA and EASA certification requirements. Write, conductor witness development and certification tests on aircraft and/or rigs. Liaise with certifying authorities and/or support their delegates in achieving system certification.
  • Working knowledge of system safety processes like FHA, SSA, FTA(ARP4761) (Fault tree analysis -means of analyze and asses failure modes)
  • Familiar with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 standards. Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and Validations.
Other information:
  • 10+ years experience.
  • Will be an integrator role (integration of what is done by OEMs on the aircraft).
  • The role covers a wide range from design support to aircraft physical test support and certification.
  • The role will have technical responsibility for the functionality of systems on the aircraft.
  • Focus on Navigation (ATA34) more specifically on FMS and datalink. This requirement is a must have.
  • The role includes technical coordination with Bombardier #39;s internal and external teams (suppliers).
  • For the customer, technical competence is very important and will be the primary criterion in selecting candidates.
  • The customer is open to full remote if necessary, but would like to have clusters.
