Deputy Commercial Director - Calgary Green LineCome join us in reshaping the future with AtkinsRéalis. AtkinsRéalis is dedicated in engineering a better future for our planet and its people.AtkinsRéalis is in search of a Deputy Commercial Director to join a transformative transit infrastructure project in Calgary.The Green Line LRT (light rail transit) Project is the largest infrastructure investment in Calgary #39;s history. It comes with $5.5 billion in commitments from the Government of Canada, Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary. The Green Line LRT is designed to be both a transit system and a platform for future city building opportunities. It encourages redevelopment and investment in Calgary businesses and communities. At 18-kms, Phase 1 will create 20,000 jobs, $2.2B in long-term city-shaping benefits and more than $6B in property value uplift by 2040.Location - Calgary, AB.Your role within the team:

  • Weekly reporting of progress - works achieved, information requested and outstanding issues impacting delivery, resource tracking - utilized versus planned, management of internal budget.
  • Claims production including narrative, detailed events, delay schedule, time impact analysis, claim evaluation and executive summary.
  • PowerPoint presentation production and presentation at management/board level.
  • Assessment of claims potential, development of win strategies and organizational/procedural support processes, assessment of resources required to meet timeline for delivery of claims, incl. framework of claims preparation and submission / negotiation with client.
  • Provide strategic advice with respect to project related commercial matters.
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary delivery team, including project/forensic planners, cost controllers, administration/data controllers, contracts managers, Stakeholdersamp; client liaison.
  • Lead the commercial team and provide them mentorship and training.

The ideal candidate:
  • A bachelor #39;s degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior commercial role with a minimum five years of experience in managing large commercial agreements and complex commercial matters, including disputes and claims resolution in a Director position (or equivalent) on projects ofgt;$500M value.
  • Minimum five years of experience on a target price contract ofgt;$500M value.
  • Combination of contractor side and owner side experience, as well as light rail transit and collaborative project experience, is an asset.
