Job Description

Field Sales Representative II (Band 5)The Customer Channels Group (CCG) serves healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, academic, government, and industrial customers by providing them with products and services manufactured by our company, as well as those sourced from industry-leading manufacturers around the world. We enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.Our Sales Representatives are responsible for the sales of research productsamp; services within a defined territory. They maintain effective customer relations, develop opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic professional who is looking to gain experience in Sales with a company that is a world leader in their industry!This field role covers Québec City, Trois-Rivières and Victoriaville.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet assigned revenue and profitability sales targets and expand business within assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain successful customer relations with purchasing and end user.
  • Independently make decisions, but also use available resources to meet customer needs and collaborate efficiently with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources; Seeks out broader relationships within the account to help facilitate networking and prospecting.
  • Handle pricing within territory to control profitability.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and records for proper management of territory.
  • Connect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager.
  • Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control, consults with customers.
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Fully bilingual: French and English.
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in the science (Life Sciences, Chemistry or similar field).
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry OR equivalent lab experience.
  • Enthusiast and driven with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, able to work on multiple projects.
  • Works great in team environments.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet.
  • Strong industry, clinical and science background preferred.
  • Able and willing to travel to customer locations.
