  • Educate other icing specialists within Advanced Aerodynamics on technical decision making and influence
  • Propose the implementation of technical aerodynamic innovations based on industry trends through Advanced Design and Strategic Technology
  • Develop network of contact throughout industry
  • Support the development and validation of Bombardier icing codes
  • Lead and coordinate A/C level requirements and design solutions for complex icing aerodynamic problems, including coordinating with other functions to ensure completeness and cohesiveness
  • Lead the icing V amp;V efforts at A/C level
  • Collect and dispose Lessons Learned with KD for community cross programs
  • Recommend new cost-effective computational icing aerodynamic solutions through Knowledge Domains and Programs
Technical Competency
  • Provide technical process oversight in icing aerodynamics and adherence to TRL, Maturityamp; Exit Gate Criteria
  • Enforce adherence to BES practices and Knowledge Standards to promote product line integrity and consistency
  • Support problem solving in the Knowledge Domain across product lines
  • Collect/Validate Lessons Learned in icing aerodynamics in support of Knowledge Owner
  • Mentor team members from his/her aerodynamic technical discipline
  • Recommend development action of Technical Experts as part of PDP
  • Research aerodynamic developments in the industry to remain aware of innovations that may affect and improve current system performance
  • Perform RoM business cases and statements of work for technical studies Lead aircraft studies having multi-disciplinary inputs
  • Perform A/C level trade studies and functional modeling
  • Support Certification Plan as Applicant in support to the Thermo/System DADs
  • Participate in peer review activities
  • Provide technical guidance to Programs
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary alignment for AOG issues when necessary
  • Work with management on PCR process, cycle times, optimized solutions
As our ideal candidate,
  • You hold a bachelor #39;s or master #39;s degree in Aerodynamics/Engineering
  • You hold a PHD related directly to a field of expertise in icing aerodynamics (optional)
  • You have over 25 year or more of relevant experience in the aerodynamics field
  • You have experience on at least 2 or more development programs, 5 or more missionized programs
  • You are an expert in icing aerodynamics
  • You are highly recommended, and have an international reputation
  • You hold advanced knowledge in aerodynamics and a breadth of knowledge of many aircraft build, systems, structures
