The Technology Transfer Manager will provide progress reports to Axelys, McGill University Office of Innovation and Partnerships and Research Institute of McGill University Health Centre (RI MUHC). The technology transfer manager works closely with both the RI MUHC management and the Research and innovation teams and has reporting obligations to both the Associate Director, Technology Transfer (Research and Innovation) and the Chief Operations and Development Officer (RI MUHC).The Technology Transfer Manager is responsible for knowledge and technology transfer activities related to Life Sciences/Medical innovations and inventions at the RI-MUHC. He/she provides outstanding service by focusing on innovation, inventions, business development/partnership, and entrepreneurship. The Technology Transfer Manager is also responsible for identifying and evaluating technologies with commercial potential, preparing development and commercialization plans, pursuing protection of intellectual property, designing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and other legal documents. The goal of this position is to foster interaction with the RI-MUHC research community, to promote RI-MUHC research to external stakeholders and to forge long lasting relationships to bring value to the RI-MUHC-generated intellectual property.Primary Responsibilities:
