Job Description

Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).The McGill Tutorial Service recruits tutors on an ongoing basis throughout the academic year for all courses offered by the university. This is a part-time, academic casual position for students who are currently enrolled as McGill students and who possess a CGPA of 3.2 or higher. Undergraduate tutors are paid $18/hour and graduate tutors $22/hr. Tutoring sessions are currently held online and in person. Tutors are expected to be able to help peers better understand the course content. Tutors must be prepared for all tutoring sessions by asking tutees, when scheduling the session, which area of the course they would like to focus on. Tutors should not complete the homework or assignments for tutees.Additional information: In your application, please clearly identify the courses (names and numbers) that you are confident you have the ability to positively impact a student #39;s comprehension of the subject matter, the semester(s) you are available, and which campus (downtown or Macdonald) you are willing to travel to for the session(s) once in person meetings resume.You must submit a Word document with the following information as part of your application:

  • Name (Last, first)
  • McGill ID #
  • McGill Email
  • Are you an Undergraduate or a Graduate student
  • Which semesters would you like to tutor (Fall 2023, Winter 2024 and/or Summer 2024)
  • Which courses would you like to tutor (we are currently hiring tutors for all McGill courses)
