Job Description

Role: This position is responsible for providing administrative and bookkeeping support to assist in maintaining an efficient and timely operation of the Recreation NL office and member services.Key Areas of Responsibility: Administrative and Bookkeeping dutiesAdministrative Duties:

  • Prepare, revise and edit outgoing correspondence
  • Manage inventory of assets and office supply levels and general office maintenance
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and travel
  • Provide reception duties
  • Maintain the Association’s databases (Membership & HIGH FIVE®)
  • Assist with membership services (prepare information packages, update membership listings and directory, processes new membership applications and renewals)
  • Fulfill requests for resource material on projects to individuals, advocate groups, recreation personnel and educators
  • Attend and record minutes for Association Meetings (as required)
  • Distribute and manage incoming and outgoing mail
Bookkeeping Duties:
  • Prepare receipts and deposits of all money received from all sources
  • Prepare payables for processing
  • Assist with preparing accounts receivables and collections
  • General record keeping and filing
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Diploma in office administration or equivalent preferred
  • Book keeping and financial experience would be an asset
  • Computer proficiency in the Microsoft suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent time and organizational skills
Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 8 monthsSalary: $22.00 per hourFlexible language requirement:
  • French not required
