B&B Line Construction is a telecommunications subcontractor responsible for fibre,copper, coax installation, splicing and testing both aerial and underground for telecommunication providers in Newfoundland. Individual would be responsible for fibre and copper termination and testing of a variety of cable types (single-mode, multi-mode, ribbon fibre, etc.) and then evaluating and submitting test results for client reviewExperience in fibre and copper splicing is essential. This would normally be obtained through a combination of technical certifications and work experience in the telecommunication field. Applicants should be a graduate of a recognized Electronics Program or possess equivalent knowledge and experience in construction, termination, repair, splicing and maintenance of aerial and underground fibre and related equipment. Proficiency in the use of Fusion Sets and OTDRs as well as light meters is required. Provincial Powerline Hazards Certification and Valid Fall Protection Certification is also required.
