Job descriptionAbout the jobFocused on customer service and up-time, Pinnacle Networks provides IT products and services for small and medium businesses.We work closely with each client, getting to know their specific business processes, and deliver solutions that are customized to meet their needs. This allows us to foster a strong relationship with each client, where you (and they) know everyone by name with attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction.The successful candidate will work in a team and have overall responsibility in ensuring stable operations of our clients’ infrastructure. The team provides client support at all levels – whether it’s a password reset, new VLAN configuration, or a new laptop deployment, you will be expected to complete any task to the best of your ability and to the client’s utmost satisfaction.Regular Support Duties:

  • Provide remote and limited onsite client support
  • Respond to all issues in accordance with client SLA
  • Log all issues reported in our ticketing system for client metrics and reporting
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, firewalls, network switches, and wireless access points
  • Install, configure, and maintain network, server, and backup monitoring systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain Onsite and Cloud PBX VoIP phone systems
  • Manage and administer client networks across all facilities and cloud environments, including all servers and systems on-prem and in-cloud
  • Work with next-gen firewalls, SD-WAN, IPSec tunnels/VPN
  • Work with third-party vendors/support as required
  • Manage and maintain the security of the networks and systems
  • Proactive approach to improve stability and operations of internal & client environments
  • Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, etc.
  • Mobile device management and automation of desktop environment needs
  • Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, dependency maps, etc.
  • Rotating after-hours on-call emergency support
Project Related Duties:
  • Participate in and manage IT projects and act as technical lead on business projects
  • Liaise with client decision makers to drive IT projects forward
  • Design and implement required infrastructure, whether it is new servers, software, networking, business continuity and disaster recovery, etc.
Technical Abilities
  • 3+ years of experience in systems and network administration
  • 3+ years of customer-facing support
  • Excellent working knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, desktop environment, cybersecurity practices, next-gen firewalls
  • Experience leading large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure utilizing multiple complex technologies
  • Experience with MSP-related client management platforms such as ConnectWise / Autotask PSA, RMM
  • Experience in troubleshooting VoIP call quality, Wireshark, etc.
  • Experience in Windows server administration for on-premises and 365/Azure AD
  • Designing and architecting on-prem and cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge & experience with Sophos, Cisco, Meraki firewalls
  • Knowledge & experience with HPE Aruba, Cisco, Meraki switches
  • Hands-on experience and demonstrated knowledge of backup & disaster recovery initiatives
  • Familiar with identifying security incidents, intrusion detection, and threat analysis
  • Familiar with server, network, web, and infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail, and very well organized
  • Excellent at managing your time while working on multiple projects and flexible enough to switch gears as customer issues arise
  • Working knowledge of project management
  • Must own a reliable personal vehicle and possess a Class 5 drivers license
