Job Description

Recreation and Community ServicesCompetition #TOP-500-007Part-timeReporting to the Recreation Supervisor, this position is accountable for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers as well as directing calls/inquiries and providing administrative support for the Department of Recreation and Community Services.Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of High School;
  • Successful completion of Office Administration diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • Two (2) years experience in an office environment with similar responsibilities;
  • Experience in cash handing: purchase of sales, reconciliation and deposits;
  • Experience with booking and memberships would be an asset;
  • Experience in working in a recreational setting would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with the public with tact and diplomacy;
  • Valid First Aid Certificate;
  • Clear Certificate of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Demonstrates a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications.
This is a unionized position with a varied work schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
