EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYRETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE – PEGGY’S COVEFull/Part-time - SeasonalEvery person who walks through the doors of an Amos Pewter shop does so for a particular reason. From our long-time loyal customer who is looking to add to their collection to the new customer who was attracted by the hand-crafted pieces in the window display and even the person coming back from the lighthouse who ducked in the shop for a few minutes to escape the wind. We know that our hand-crafted pewter creations are exceptional – kudos to all our artisans for their creativity and attention to detail. We want you to be the icing on our cake!A typical day for you might include:· Welcoming visitors with all the enthusiasm of seeing an old friend· Helping cruise passengers find the perfect memento of their trip to Peggy’s Cove then packaging it up with the other pieces they are excited to take home for their friends and family· Wowing visitors with your knowledge of pewter as you share the steps in the design and production process that transform the solid ingot of pewter into the hand-crafted pieces in the shop· Calling Mahone Bay to order more Peggy’s Cove ornaments – “stat”!· Channeling your inner neat-freak throughout the shopWe’d love to see your resume if you:· Have the superpower of knowing what the just-right gift is for that special someone even though you’ve never met them· Can make somebody’s day better just because of the great experience they have with you· Are able to explain just about anything to anyone· Can think on your feet and feel confident in your decision-making· Would be enthusiastically described as “reliable, flexible and dedicated” by your previous employersBonus points if you:· Have a plaque hanging on your wall at home saying “the customer is always right”· Get excited to offer your ideas to others on teams you work with· Want to rock this position and have fun doing itWe offer successful applicants:· Discounts on our hand-crafted designs· Hands-on training in retail and demonstrations· A positive team atmosphereBy the way, you don’t need to have been a superstar sales person in your past life to have developed your awesome people skills - we’ve been excited to work with superstars from lots of different backgrounds.
