Experienced Retail Manager with proven success record for new retail store opening in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia in 2023. Must be knowledgeable in retail best practices with experience in point-of-sale systems (Square and / or Shopify), inventory management, purchase ordering, merchandising, marketing including social media, buying procedures, personnel management, customer service, and business strategy. Competency in working independently while also reporting to an executive management team, fostering a respectful team environment, and excellent communication skills with both staff and customers. Ability to meet sales and profitability goals. Maintain knowledge of all goods sold and educating staff on products. Full-time year-round position. Retail store open seasonally from April to early November and occasional special events in the off season. Business / Retail management degree or equivalent at a university or college level.
