The posting closes at 12:01am on the morning of the closing date***The incumbent provides organizational and administrative support to the Labour Market Initiative (LMI) in Renfrew and Lanark Counties. This work includes planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all activities that are part of the project objectives. This position works directly with the LMI Project Manager.This position primarily works remotely, but is required to travel to meetings and events related to the work done by the Labour Market Group within Renfrew and Lanark Counties.Required Qualifications:

  • Three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Business or related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within an Employment Services office, community economic development role or related government operation in a consulting role is preferred;
  • Experience working with data and statistics is an asset, particularly labour market data;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Ability to speak publicly and present information to groups that include employers, service agencies, youth, college employees and municipal staff;
  • Experience organizing events and activities;
  • Experience in marketing, social media promotion would be an asset;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Well organized and excellent communication skills;
  • Valid Ontario Class G Drivers licence required.
Anticipated Weekly Schedule:
  • Monday to Thursday, 6 hours per day
  • This position is paid at Payband 10
