The patient services attendant is seen as a resource to all patients and visitors during their visit in the department. They anticipate the needs to patients and visitors, and follow departmental and hospital policies to provide information to visitors.REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12Mature, dependable and empathetic individualMust be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patients and visitorsAbility to maintain helpful and friendly disposition to patients and families under duressExceptional customer service required with proven ability to resolve patient service issues, answer questions, and refer problems when necessaryDemonstrated ability to work independently and willingness to work in collaboration with and take direction from Emergency staff membersExcellent communication skills with ability to put patients and family members at easeDemonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle stressful and crisis situationsDemonstrated commitment to patient safetyAbility to meet physical demands of the positionMust have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the HospitalBilingualism is preferred
