Company descriptionSouth Okanagan Counselling (SOC) is a well established and reputed practice located in Penticton, servicing the South Okanagan (Summerland to Osoyoos) providing adult, couple, youth, family, and child counselling. The clinic has recently acquired a beautiful new multi-room office space, providing associates with a high quality work environment and the opportunity for personal development and growth in their counselling practice.SOC values its ability to provide a warm, authentic, and supportive team culture for its associates along with professional, evidence-based, and experienced counselling services to the South Okanagan Community.Job descriptionWhat you will gain from joining SOC

The successful candidate will require the following:
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work with appropriate registration and current liability insurance
  • Preferably offer services both in-person and online (will also consider online only)
  • Demonstrate excellent professional boundaries and ethical compliance with professional codes of conduct
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and supervision when necessary
  • Demonstrate compassion, warmth, authenticity, integrity, drive and work ethic, thriving in both team and individual work environments
  • Motivated to grow practice, attend team engagements, and network with other professionals
  • Be able to schedule counselling sessions, invoice, and collect client payment for counselling sessions along with any related clerical duties
  • Complete client session notes and additional reports in timely manner
  • Be willing to maintain cleanliness of the office workspace during use, to ensure a tidy and professional appearance, and be comfortable with opening and closing of office space when needed
