Job Description

PDSCL is looking for a temporary full time shelter worker (Transition House Worker). The current shift schedule is: Tues-Sat 12am-8amNATURE OF THE POSITION:The Transitional House Worker provides a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors. Provides support, advocacy, information, education, crisis intervention and referrals.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in a related human/social service field.
  • One (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:Interpersonal skills, communication skills, analyzing and judgment ability, physical capabilities, initiative/independence, honesty, work standards, team orientation, stress tolerance, acceptance of working conditions.OTHER EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:Valid CPR/First Aid, Satisfactory criminal record check-working with vulnerable adults, Foodsafe Certificate, TB Skin Test, Medical clearance, code of ethics and confidentiality form.Contract length: 4 monthsJob Types: Full-time, TemporarySalary: From $22.68 per hourSchedule:
