Job Description

Moraine is a family-owned winery and vineyard overlooking Okanagan Lake, located just minutes from the city of Penticton. From its shelf-like location above striking clay bluffs, Moraine peers over the landscape and water. These iconic glaciated white clay cliffs comprise the breathtaking Naramata Bench and inspire the winery’s land-formed name. With a goal of using only fruit grown on Naramata Bench, Moraine’s inaugural vintage wines offer a unique, desirable flavour profile.Moraine Estate Winery is seeking for the 2021 season a confident, energetic, and professional full-time, part-time Tasting Room Associate - with a passion for wine and sales. Must have outgoing personality and the ability to simultaneously meet sales goals while providing superior customer service experiences.Essential Duties:

  • Actively sell wine to retail customers and generate new wine club memberships to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Host and educate guests on our story and products - pour tasting flights while engaging guests.
  • Provide an excellent, friendly customer service experience for all guests.
  • Perform all aspects of tasting room operations, including accurate operation of cash register, inventory management, stocking and cleaning.
  • Represent Moraine Winery in a professional, courteous and friendly manner to develop and solidify customer relationships.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in the wine industry - at least one year (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to speak to large groups.
  • Weekends availability including holidays during the season.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and routinely lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must have Serving It Right certificate.
