Job descriptionEarly Childhood EducatorJob DescriptionRising Stars Daycare is now accepting applications for a full-time position for an Early Childhood Educator.Employment Qualifications:EDUCATION· A degree, certificate, or diploma in Early Childhood Education.EXPERIENCE· A proven ability to work with children infant to 12 and foster a positive, healthy environment is a necessity.KNOWLEDGE· Ability to relate sensitively to the children.· Evidence of sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations and to use supervision constructively.· Ability to recognize and to record significant individual and group behavior.· Enthusiastic personality and energetic, positive attitude is essential to creating a learning environment.SKILLS· Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children.· Ability in planning programs, being flexible in offering free choice in arts and crafts, music, gym, inside and outside activities, with health and safety procedures in mind.· Ability to work with children and adults effectively.· Ability to work with minimum supervision.· Valid First Aid and CPR certificate level C.· Being able to work willingly with co-workers in all aspects surrounding the care of the children.· Being able to plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the centers philosophy and NB Curriculum.· Being able to have positive communication with parents.OTHER· Dependability, reliability, and trustworthiness required and maintained.· Valid Criminal Check/Vulnerable Sector Check is required.· Social Development Check (will be completed upon hiring)· Highly motivated and a high level of positive personal behavior, outgoing, and communicates easily.· Must be available to work all hours from 7:00 am to 6pm as needed· Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset (CPI Certificate) is an asset· Food Safety Course is an asset.If you are an enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Worker, please submit your full resume via email.Only potential candidates will be contacted for an interview.Expected Start Date: asapJob Types: Full-time,Salary: $14.90-$23.47 (top wage is based on experience and certification)Schedule:
