Job DescriptionEarly Childhood/Support Worker NeededRising Stars Daycare is in need of a support worker to work with two children in need of support. Previous experience is required with children that have behavior issues and attachment disorder. Experience working with preschool ages. ECE certificates holders earn $19 an hour. If you do not have your ECE certificate experience is required in childcare. Non ECE holders will earn $14.22-14.90 an hour. This position would be based in our afterschool program, so during school hours shift would be 12-6 and 8:30-6 on PD days and when school is out.Required skills for this position includes:· Being able to plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropraite activitites and experiences in harmony with the centers philosophy and NB Curriculum.· Being able to work willingly with co-workers in all aspects surrounding the care of the children.· Ensure guidance of childrens behavior that encourages positive self- concept in a healthy and safe way in the childs environment.· Being able to have positive communication with parents.· Experience working with children with behavior issues.Candidate must have the following credentials current and be able to provide:· RCMP criminal record check with vulnerable sector completed· Social Development Check (will be completed upon hiring)· First Aid/CPR level C is to be up to date· Completed or working to complete NB Curriculum certificate· Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset (CPI Certifcate)· ECE certificate or 2 years experienceAdditional Duties:· Prep work involving NB curriculum· Cleaning· Food Prep· Assisting other staffStart date is approximately -- ASAPPrior experience is mandatoryIf you are an enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Worker, please submit your full resume via email.Only potential candidates will be contacted for an interview.Expected start date: Nov-Dec 2021Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentSalary: $14.22-$19.00 per hourSchedule:
