Job Description

Position: Parts TechnicianPosition Type: Full time - Permanent Location: SurreyWork Schedule: 4 on / 4 off (6:30 am to 6:00pm)First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for an experience Parts Technician for our Surrey BC branch. Compensation Plan

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Take customer telephone calls.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to walk in customers.
  • Sell, store, and supply parts to customers.
  • Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests.
  • Bill out order requests.
  • Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display.
  • Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department.
Required Qualifications
  • Parts warehouse experience is required.
  • Experience as a parts technician preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Heavy duty parts knowledge is a major asset for this role.
  • Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
  • Adequate computer skills.
  • Dealership or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Maintain a valid Class 5 driver #39;s license.
