Job Description

Position: Vehicle Consultant - Vocational SalesPosition Type: Full time, PermanentLocation: Surrey, BC.Position OverviewVelocity Truck Centres Canada, formally known as First Truck Centre, is looking for a Vocational Product Consultant who excels at creating a high-quality customer experience to work in our Surrey, BC. location. We require a team player who possesses the right attitude, passion, and team focus needed to be successful in sales. As a Product Consultant, your overall objective is to maximize sales, profitability, and growth of accounts while providing industry leading customer service through personal contact. You will be responsible for building relationships with prospective customers, handling all sales leads, working with management to get optimal results, closing deals, and staying up to date with sales training.Compensation Plan

Primary Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Meet and build strong rapport with new customersamp; maintain rapport with previous customers for the purpose of selling Velocity vehicles in the lower mainland region - BC.
  • Complete sales or purchase contracts, explaining and offering warranties, leasing, and financing.
  • Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Maintain assigned accounts and prospect for new business
  • Participate in trade shows.
  • Spec out units to meet customer applications needs and negotiate truck sales agreements with customers.
  • Complete and maintain OE sales certifications.
  • Develop and maintain growth plans
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3- 5 years #39; experience for original equipment manufacturer dealership or similar environment.
  • Previous vehicle sales or customer service experience is necessary
  • Ability to establish goals and targets for a customer base with effective tools and techniques to promote and sell products
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to clearly respond to incoming electronic customer inquires
  • Above average negotiation skills
  • Strong commitment to providing the highest level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Strong Technical aptitude and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer ability and strong spreadsheet (MS Excel) skills
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Post secondary education in business or marketing an asset
  • Valid Driver #39;s License with an air endorsement or Class 3
  • Own vehicle (mileage reimbursed for company use)
