Job Description

Atlantic Windows, Atlantic Canada’s leading window and door manufacturers, has an opportunity available for a:Evening Shift Manager - Port Elgin, NBReporting to the Plant Manager, the objective of this position is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility and ensure safety procedure are being followed. The incumbent will also play a role as a member of the operations management team, developing and executing strategies for the continuous improvement of the business.Atlantic Windows offers an attractive package of employee benefits, including: · Life/work balance· Company sponsored RRSP· Group insurance· Profit-share programResponsibilities may include: Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Enforce all N.B. safety rules and regulations.
  • Confirm all department operations are completed with the highest standard of quality.
  • Ensure production goals are met in all departments.
  • Directly supervise the night shift production leaders, shipping leader and receiving leader.
  • Supply reports to Production Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Participate in developing, implementing and following up on all company policies.
  • Assist in implementing quality systems in conjunction with the Director of Engineering.
  • Participate in developing company objectives and goals in conjunction with the management team.
  • Participate in interviews, hiring, transfers and promotions.
  • Complete performance evaluations/investigation and issue discipline of staff when needed.
Skills and Requirements: · Experience in managing a production operation preferred. Experience managing restaurant, retail or other types of operations also considered.· Superior communication and interpersonal skills.· Strong attention to detail; organizational and analytical skill· Proficient with computers- MS office, word, excel and other softwares· Time management skills: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilites and enjoy working with a variety of individuals· Self-starter; able to work independently with minimal direction· Team player; able to motivate cross-functional teams· Proven human resource skills· Continuous improvement mentality· Good time management and organization skills· Required to work evening shifts and/or overtime as requiredAll interested applicants are asked to forward their resume by Friday, September 16, 2022 to:HR Manager – Atlantic Windows49 East Main StreetPort Elgin, NB, E4M 2X9Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
