Job Description

Location: Port Moody, BC or Victoria, BCThe roleBAP Acoustics Ltd, a full-service acoustic engineering consultancy, is seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join our friendly team. This full-time position will be based in our Port Moody, BC location in the Metro Vancouver area, with hybrid work as a potential option.We value initiative, effective verbal/written communication, and a genuine interest in acoustics. In return, we’ll help you develop expertise in all BAP Acoustics specializations and encourage you to excel in your strongest areas. If professional advancement within a successful—and rapidly growing—small firm sounds appealing, we’d be happy to hear from you!What you’ll contributeWhile day-to-day work activity includes an element of autonomy, most projects entail a collaborative effort to deliver end products to our clients. Examples include the creation of:

  • various test, measurement and noise impact reports
  • documentation required in submissions to municipalities
  • comprehensive acoustic design reports for design teams
What you’ll needQualifications & Experience:
  • At minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferably with an acoustics element
  • Up to five years of experience that includes noise measurement, sound insulation testing, sound propagation modelling, HVAC noise control etc.
  • Experience in:
    • noise impact assessment
    • application software such as CadnaA / EASE / CATT / ODEON
  • Finite element analysis skill is advantageous
