Job Description

  • Unload, carry and stack material and place tool and equipment in position
  • Clean for general maintenance
  • Operate wheel loaders, forklifts, skid steers, small-size excavator, and similar equipment
  • Ability to study job specifications and determine appropriate construction methods
  • Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
  • Measuring, cutting and installing a variety of materials (wood, steel, and others as required)
  • Build wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenters hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to complete finishing carpentry
  • Selecting lumber as per the requirements of the project and sourcing wood that fits within budget and meets style specifications
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework
  • Read and interpret blue prints, assembly instructions and similar directions
  • Work with and/or remove hazardous material
  • Perform minor plumbing, welding and/or concrete mixing work
  • Other manual duties as directed
QUALIFICATIONSExperience and EducationDemonstrated progressive experience (minimum 5 years) in multifamily construction (wood-frame preferred)Trade background in carpentry and/or Gold Seal Certification is considered an assetKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHigh energy with a positive attitudeWell-developed and adaptable communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates solid judgement regarding sensitive informationAbility to work in a team environment as well as independentlyJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 18 monthsSalary: From $32.00 per hourBenefits:
