Job Description

Position Summary:Reporting to the Regional VP, Operations the successful candidate will be a talented individual with strong management and business experience – a person who wishes to further their professional career within the gaming industry and play an active leadership role in all aspects of Chances Dawson Creek, creating great experiences and memories for our internal and external guests while driving our business to greater heights.Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement gaming operations strategic plans as directed and make recommendations for opportunities for greater efficiency while ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Provide a positive learning environment through training initiatives, develop performance objectives and deliver performance reviews for direct reports
  • Perform the required gaming management duties and ensure the safety, security and integrity of gaming while maintaining strong working relationships with all guests, team members and stakeholders
  • Develop and monitor gaming operations budgets, forecasts and promotions, and review revenue and labor cost reports, accounting reports and other daily reports
  • Oversee scheduling and payroll, monitor staffing levels to ensure they are maintained to provide superior guest service
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of all gaming policies and procedures and ensure all team members are working in compliance with procedures, internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or BCLC policies and procedures; report any violations and escalate as necessary
  • Resolve guest disputes or irregularities and do so in an empathetic, patient and friendly manner
  • Provide a professional, constructive and supportive environment for all team members
  • Oversee all aspects of facility as required and perform other duties as assigned
As a successful candidate YOU will possess the following qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary education in finance, business, accounting or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Have a proven record of driving business through innovation, analytics and leadership
  • Minimum three years of management experience preferred
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrable ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations with proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong understanding of self as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A commitment to continually increasing your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office and casino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
