Position Summary At Chances Dawson Creek there is a full-service lottery terminal, and 152 slot machines including electronic blackjack and electronic roulette. Our team enjoys welcoming our guests and providing them with great experiences on the gaming floor, and at our fully licensed lounge. Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a detail orientated Server ready to hit the ground running and be part of the Food and Beverage team.Under the direction of the Foodamp; Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible in establishing a safe and welcoming work environment. If you have the drive to be the leading gaming, entertainment and hospitality destination in Dawson Creek and a passion for creating exceptional personal experiences, come join our team!Duties and Responsibilities Include:❖ Providing patrons with the best service possible in a professional manner❖ Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude❖ Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility❖ Use of P.O.S. Micros system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift❖ Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down❖ Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section❖ Restocking, cleaning, and organizing of all related work equipment and areas❖ Ongoing practice of Serving It Right❖ Assist other co-workers as neededamp;/or directed❖ Follow opening and closing server duties❖ Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position.❖ Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts❖ Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work❖ Performing other duties as assigned or directed As a Successful CandidateYou will possess the following qualifications:❖ High school diploma or GED equivalent❖ Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment❖ Minimum one-year cash handling experience in a customer service position❖ Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment❖ Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check❖ Working knowledge of computers❖ Must be available to work all shifts including nights and weekends❖ Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet stipulated deadlines❖ Serving It Right certificate❖ Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset❖ Excellent customer service and people skills❖ Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player❖ Must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills❖ Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
