Job Description

To be a Customer oriented Global Category Manager that provides Parts & Services division (PSD) with an optimized supplier base, in order to support PSD business goals & strategies. Support and be a part of the build-up and development of a strong global sourcing team.To optimize the supplier base for the category by collaborating with key stakeholders in the region and category sourcing colleagues globally, to achieve sustainable PSD Sourcing KPIs.Always promote the positive customer oriented attitude enabling Epiroc to be a true productivity partner for our customers and to be a driver of cross functional collaboration. This will support the PSD division, to supply our Customer with products at the right time with the right cost and quality.Specific tasks and responsibilities

  • Together with PSD Marketing and Technical organization continue contribute to the success, by leveraging supplier competence and creating partnerships for innovation, customer value creation and new technical solutions.
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers to meet the PSD and Capital Equipment needs and drive continuous improvement in cooperation with Capital Equipment CMs.
  • Represent strategic sourcing in project meetings and other relevant forums for the category.
  • Based on the category strategy define together with PSD Marketing and Technical and the other category managers (category team) the roadmap for the category and coordinate activities including follow up of defined KPI’s within your category.
  • Keep track of market developments impacting your category.
  • Create and develop the global supplier base in your category for supply into PC’s/DC’s in line with PSD Sourcing Strategy and Safeguard a stable and positive development of the Total Cost, including Quality, Delivery and Cost-parameters.
  • Safeguard good collaboration within PSD Sourcing and with key stakeholders such as PSD Engineering, PSD Marketing, capital divisions’ Sourcing and Supply Chain.
  • Secure that your supplier base fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Epiroc group.
  • The role has the authority to work and solve the above main tasks with restrictions according to the company’s financial authorization instructions.
  • Enabling the Branding of parts; activities should lead to that the number of branded parts increases significantly.
  • Carry out traditional sourcing activities for the supplier base; handle RFQ processes, establish frame agreements, collect data and update system etc.
