Does the idea of working for a busy agriculture service shop appeal to you Do you want to grow your career by working with some of the most technologically advanced agricultural machines Are you looking to continue to expand your knowledgeWe are in need of a certified Agriculture Equipment Technician (Service Technician). Working independently, you perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You work both in-field and in-shop requiring very little direction. As an Agriculture Equipment Technician Journeyperson, you share your knowledge by mentoring others.Qualifications of Agriculture Equipment Technician (Service Technician):Completion of a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice.Expert knowledge of John Deere agriculture equipment a very strong asset; Certification preferredMinimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairsAbility to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipmentExpert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and Turf equipmentComputer skills required; Service Advisor an assetAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly and work seasonal extended hours and on weekendsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license required; forklift license preferredMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaNelson Motors & Equipment offers an excellent work environment, career development, competitive wages, comprehensive benefits plan and company matched RRSP.Apply early as recruitment for this position is ongoing and may be filled prior to the closing date.
