As a Facility Assistant I, you are responsible for tasks associated with receiving grain, loading railcars and trucks for shipment, taking grain samples and analyzing grain commodities, and general labour within the facility.Work where you live:

The ideal candidate:

• The ideal candidate possesses a Grade 12 or equivalent education, can work independently, thrives in a dynamic and team environment, and has the mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain grain processing equipment.
• To be successful you must have the physical ability to perform the required job duties including good eyesight and colour perception, hold a valid class 5 driver #39;s license, and be open to working weekends as needed.

I started as a Facility Assistant I. Throughout my time I learned various jobs, from loading/unloading cars to operating the probe, helping in the grading room, working in the annex, running the dryer and helping in receiving. Within 4 years I became a Facility Assistant II and then participated in the Facility Operations Manager trainee program and was promoted to a Facility Operations Manager shortly after.
