Job Description

Do you enjoy working with agriculture equipment technology to optimize farming operations Do you have a knack for understanding numbers, raw data and translating it to useable information We have an immediate opening in our Precision Agriculture department (formerly Integrated Solutions) in the Redvers/Oxbow area. As a specialist in agriculture technology, your role is to provide support for solutions enabled by the John Deere Precision Agriculture strategy and other aligned technology to our internal and external customers. Working closely yet independently with the Precision Agriculture Team you will:

  • Participate in leading the dealership #39;s John Deere Precision Agriculture strategy which includes machine optimization, data collection and other precision farming products, practices and technologies
  • Understand cropping and agronomic practices delivering training on how they impact equipment configuration
  • Serve as the internal and external technical specialist for all precision farming products, while implementing the adoption of new technology and product offerings
  • Understand industry practices and equipment limitations to ensure adequate solutions for customer equipment needs
  • Maintain and further develop dealership relationships with third-party providers and related John Deere businesses
  • Conduct in-field duties such as equipment optimization, display orientation, weather service installation, etc.
  • Organize and analyze customer field data in order to optimize yields
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one-year experience in an agriculture-related role, farming background preferred
  • John Deere agriculture equipment experience preferred with dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience a strong asset
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office 365 and remote internet functions.
  • Knowledge and experience of agriculture data management platforms such as JDLink, GPS, John Deere Operations Center, My John Deere and other third party platforms is a strong asset.
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver #39;s licence required
  • Living in the community or within a 50 km radius of the location is required
