Additional programs and services that support patient care and information include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, the Provincial Electronic Health Record, Health Registries (eligibility for health services/distribution of health cards) and vital event records. About the Role Reporting to the Executive Director, Technologyamp; Chief Technology Officer, the Director, IT Capital Delivery oversees the day-to-day management, operations, and continual improvement of the IT Capital portfolio. This position directs the work of teams across the province to ensure the planning, delivery and management of the portfolio. This position facilitates the development of strategies, plans, and designs for the successful implementation of IT Capital projects in collaboration with internal and external partners. This role also provides leadership for operational delivery and management practice oversight of specific portfolios. Specific responsibilities include:• Direct and support the development of business strategies and design to meet the business needs• Direct and lead teams in the development of designs, specifications, detailed plans, budgets and implementation strategies to support the implementation of IT Capital projects in alignment with provincial standards;• Develop the work standards and practices for the IT Capital construction portfolio• Provide leadership for the proactive identification, development and implementation of opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and effectiveness in new facility builds;• As a key member of the senior leadership team, participate in developing long-term, strategic plans and provide guidance for strategic initiatives for new facility builds that enable health system goals and objectives;• Provide support and advice pertaining to the department’s mandate to partners, eHealth Saskatchewan’s Senior Executives and by extension senior leaderships across the Saskatchewan Health Sector;• Foster strong relationships with internal, health sector and vendor partners;• Providing leadership and guidance within the team through instruction, coaching and mentoring;• Develop and manage operational and project budgets; and• Promote “systems thinking” approach and proactively engage and maintain communications with other departments and organizations to determine needs of solutions maintained and / or supported by eHealth. Experienceamp; Qualifications Post-secondary degree in Engineering, business, or technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.Have 5+ year’s leadership experience. In addition experience working at a senior level, preferably Director or above.Major portfolio and project experience with budget, procurement and people management abilities, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven experience leading a portfolio of large, complex projects.
