Job Description

Brandt has a position available for a Power BI Developer in our Regina, SK location.The ideal candidate will obtain advanced knowledge in all areas of the Distributed and Manufactured Products Divisions, working closely with other developers and business users. You must be able to design and develop BI reportsamp; dashboards for providing insights to improve decision-making. This role requires the candidate to have a wide knowledge of business intelligence, data integration, data warehousing, modeling, database, and technical aspects of Microsoft BI tools. Ensure all assets deployed are documented including all associated reports, data inputs and outputs. Be instrumental in testing with business end users and new features and functions as well as any changes prior to deploying in a production environment.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Work with the business end users and business process owners to ensure the systems are performing their intended role at Brandt.
  • Designamp; develop reports, dashboardsamp; models using Power Biamp; other associated tools.
  • Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data.
  • Expert in using DAX and other advanced-level calculations on data sets.
  • Implement row-level security on data models.
  • Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
  • Work collaboratively with all other IT disciplines at Brandt.
  • Ensure that all work artifacts are properly documented, and documentation is maintained.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in data-specific roles.
  • Extensive experience with Power BIamp; the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Analytics.
  • Experience programming in Python is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of requirements gathering, facilitation, testing of software processes.
  • Working knowledge of application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, ELT/ETL tools.
  • Experience with Business Systems such as CRM, ERP, or SCM is an asset.
  • Be able to provide exceptional customer service to the end user community.
  • Excellent communication skills to discuss requirements effectively with the clientamp; internal teams.
