Job Description

Position Overview:The successful candidate will join SAMA’s Information Services Division, Central Office in Regina, as a System Administrator in this full-time, permanent position. Reporting to the Service Deliveryamp; IS Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for performing the maintenance and support of the Agency’s servers, software, PCs and networks, setting staff configurations profiles, providing support to staff to resolve hardware and software problems and maintaining the working condition of the Agency #39;s technology and communications equipment. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be responsible for deploying technology necessary for the essential duties of other SAMA staff, as well as researching and testing new network systems and services. The incumbent can expect to perform other duties within the scope of this position as required by the needs of the business.Required Qualifications and Skills:To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a University Degree in Computer Science or related Post Secondary Diploma and two (2) years experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient supporting the following technical aspects of business:

  1. Microsoft Windows 10 on end-user devices
  2. Computer software including Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Cisco AnyConnect
  3. Computer hardware including laptops, tablets, and Android/iOS mobile devices
  4. Active Directory (On-Premises and Cloud) DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Terminal Services
  5. Microsoft Intune with a focus on application packaging, MDM, and AutoPilot
  6. Incident, Service Request, and Change Management using FreshService
Candidates must possess the ability to follow complex instructions, effectively problem solve, research and document solutions, strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with professionalism, and work independently under minimal supervision. Although based in our Central Office in Regina, this position may also be required to travel to any of our eight regional offices throughout the province. Therefore, the ability to occasionally travel and a valid class five (5) driver #39;s license is required as is the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Both a cover letter and resume will be used in the screening process. Candidates under consideration may be required to participate in a numeracy, mathematical, and/or computer proficiency assessment to determine position suitability.
