Individual will troubleshoot issues and perform day to day maintenance activities within the Production environment to ensure achievement of team goals. This job works under Moderate Supervision: Incumbent performs standard and routine assignments independently to conclusion; unusual problems which may require exceptions to procedures or processes are referred to the supervisor.What Will You Do- Provide solutions, guidance, and support for the resolution of complex production problems.- Train and mentor junior staff on technical issues to improve technical proficiency and skill level.- Liaison with Application Delivery to determine if solutions provided are appropriate within Travelers environment.- Identify opportunities for the Production Operations Guidewire team to ensure high quality in all deliverables.- Provide day-to-day support to ensure Production environments are available.- Trouble shoot integration issues between our applications.- Coordinate application releases with DevOps.- Statistical analysis skills, ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data.- Take an active role in defining and implementing our approach to Continuous Improvement.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have- An independent worker who can look at the full scope of issues beyond their specific assignment.- Excellent troubleshooter, with proven experience in finding logical and creative solutions.- Good verbal and written communication skills- A desire to understand the business functionality supported by our different applications.- Understanding of security best practices.- Understand Architectural diagrams, how Business logic should be implemented- clear understanding, come up with recommendations.- Knowledgeable in application design best practices.- Prior experience with Guidewire applications would be an asset.- Prior experience with Dynatrace would be an asset.- Prior experience with Cloud based applications would be an asset.- Prior experience with AbInito would be an asset.- Prior experience with Talend would be an asset.- Prior experience with Infogix would be an asset.- Prior experience with Autosys would be an asset.- Prior experience with Agile methodologies would be an asset.What is a Must Have- College diploma with a major in computer science or equivalent years of technology experience.- Four years of progressive experience in information services.What Is in It for You- Health Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members - including spouses, partners, and children - are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.- Retirement: Travelers provides a core contribution of 3% of your total eligible earnings to your Deferred Profit Sharing Plan ( quot;DPSP quot;).
