Job Description

Thrive Wealth Management is a wealth management subsidiary of Conexus Credit Union and its primary business market is serving members of credit unions and their communities within Saskatchewan. The bigger picture: We’re looking for a highly motivated and strategic thinker to come on board as our Vice President, Wealth Management Services. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Wealth Management portfolio. This includes influencing and executing on the wealth business scorecard and business line roadmap. In addition, you will be accountable for building valued relationships and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners and Thrive clients, all to ensure we not only meet but exceed member and client expectations while driving quality business growth. How you’ll spend your time:Leading the execution of a comprehensive wealth strategy that aligns with Conexus’ vision and strategic direction. Supporting and providing strategic guidance to executives and leaders in the identification and implementation of necessary strategic wealth management decisions. Leading and executing business activities while actively monitoring and mitigating emerging risks, compliance requirements, and understanding how Thrive is affected by financial and economic global events. Developing, coaching, and empowering a team of leaders responsible for executing business strategies, projects and key initiatives, facilitating change, and fostering a highly engaged work environment that consistently aligns with Conexus’ strategic objectives. Collaborating across organizationally, modeling teamwork and partnership between retail, business banking and other stakeholders, and effectively working to leverage and close referral opportunities. Acting as a representative of Conexus to liaise with external partners and stakeholders.The way people describe you: You possess a strategic mindset that provides valuable guidance to the Chief Growth Officer. The experience you bring:10+ years related experience within a financial services environment, with an in-depth understanding of key lines of business including wealth management and insurance, commercial and retail operations, as well as core functions like credit, everyday banking and deposit services. Previous Profit and Loss experience for wealth business. Expert understanding of wealth service delivery including a proven track record of developing and integrating a delivery strategy that encompasses desired growth, an economic value proposition and clear member engagement success. Effective and demonstrated leadership skills. History of making an impact, executing on strategies, and delivering superior results. Demonstrated experience in leading change, having influence and strong relationships in cross-functional groups. Knowledge and exposure to corporate governance. Experienced 3rd party vendor negotiation and supplier management. Graduate post-secondary degree in a relevant or related field, or a relevant combination of post-secondary education and practical experience. Wealth Industry accreditation.
