Job Description

On behalf of our Valued Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Cellular Router Assembly, Test, and Packout Operator to join their team in Richmond.Summary of the Role:The Cellular Router Assembly, Test, and Packout Operator will perform assembly, testing, and packaging operations to ensure cellular routers meet high-quality standards and customer specifications. The role requires a focus on efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and package cellular routers following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate pneumatic assembly and test fixtures safely and efficiently, including equipment such as Thermal Gap Fillers and CIPG machines.
  • Interpret engineering assembly drawings, specifications, and test manuals to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Troubleshoot basic assembly or testing issues, setting up and validating assembly/test fixtures as required.
  • Perform quality inspections, identify defects, and communicate issues promptly for resolution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in alignment with 5S principles.
  • Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions to protect sensitive electronic components.
  • Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) principles in material handling and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets, adapt to changing demands, and suggest process improvements.
Core Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in assembly, testing, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in operating pneumatic assembly and test fixtures.
  • Strong understanding of engineering assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and guidelines.
Desired Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Knowledge of 5S principles and practices.
  • Experience with SAP and Agile software systems.
Terms:This is a full-time, onsite position located in Richmond. The selected candidate will work an 8-hour daily schedule and must be flexible to accommodate production needs.
