POSITION: Deli Clerk – Part-Time (24-32 hours/week)DEPARTMENT: DeliLOCATION: Rimbey, ABReporting to the Deli Manager, the Deli Clerk will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Deli Department. Candidates will need to be available days, evenings, and weekends.Responsibilities will include:Providing exceptional member serviceAssisting in driving sales, margins, and offering ideas to generate revenueEnsuring merchandising, production, and health & safety standards are maintainedCompleting all department tasks in a timely mannerPreparing foodHandling of raw foodsSlicing meat and preparing plattersStocking product and shelf rotationOperating ovens and fryers to prepare hot foods and preparing and serving of cold food itemsThis position requires ample amounts of standing, twisting, bending, and liftingWe are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:Food preparation/food safety experienceOrganizational skills and great time managementQuality communication and interpersonal skillsA drive to deliver an exceptional member experience through living our brandAbility to lift up to 50lbsPreferences will be given to those candidates with previous or current experience in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), or commercial kitchen experience.“As part of Evergreen Co-operative Association’s hiring process, pre-employment background checks will be required for all candidates.
