Job Description

Keyera Career OpportunityJob Type:PermanentTHE POSITIONKeyera is currently looking for an Instrumentation Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and troubleshooting duties for Instrumentation and/or Electrical equipment located at the Rimbey Gas Plant and Field.This equipment includes: plant and field analyzers, transmitters, control/ESD valves, SCADA systems, DCS systems, chromatographs, meters, electrical systems etc.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and optimize plant process control equipment such as control valves, transmitters, custody transfer meters and gas chromatographs.
  • Organize and/or conduct daily instrumentation activities based on daily Maximo work orders.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs including the generation of work orders/capturing work history.
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports as required in Maximo as per Operational Excellence requirements.
  • Contribute to short and long-term planning for facility optimization.
  • Provide assistance and direction to Engineering regarding project work.
  • Build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with the G+P Facility staff and the Corporate Project team.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive and productive work environment between yourself, your communication channels, and all other members of the team.
  • Support, promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business operations and relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Instrumentation Journeyman or Red Seal Certification. (Electrician dual ticket an asset).
  • Minimum 5 years’ as an Journeyman with hands-on experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Strong team player with proven communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates are an asset.
  • Physically able to perform all components of the position (lifting, working at heights, etc.).
  • Able to work in seasonal weather conditions.
  • Must reside in or able to relocate to the Rimbey area.
