Job Description

Together, we passionately pursue our mission to create value, build trust and deliver results for progressive farmers around the world.POSITION SUMMARYWe have an immediate opening for someone to join our team as Distribution Support. In this position you will accurately prepare and ship orders to our customers domestically and internationally, while providing the highest level of customer service to both our internal and external customers.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily shipping and receiving of product, packages, mail, and other miscellaneous items
  • Organize, prepare & complete shipments/orders; including customer orders, warehouse transfers, lab checks, discard orders, inter-office/private storage orders on a daily basis
  • Accurately pack and check all orders
  • Complete all shipping documentation as required
  • Put away semen production from lab(s) and product from outside suppliers as well as sorting and putting away returns from field warehouses
  • Packaging/canning semen as required
  • Learn and be able to utilize packaging metrics/analysis to determine daily packaging workload.
  • Create caning orders
  • Operation and basic maintenance/basic repair of caning machines as required
  • Ordering of canes, ID tabs, goblets as required i.e. in-house supplies
  • Liquid Nitrogen filling of transfer, storage, and customer tanks as well as daily LN2 maintenance of shipper tanks
  • Ensure sufficient LN2 is on hand to fulfill our weekly requirements
  • Maintain and manage asset tank inventories - shipper tanks, 3rd party tanks, field tanks, storage/warehouse tanks
  • Track movement – customer follow-up to ensure tanks are returned in a timely manner –
  • Regularly scheduled tank testing to ensure tanks are in proper working order – recording of results
  • Physical counts (inventory audits) of semen storage tanks, supplies, & shipper tanks
  • Ensure work area is kept clean & tidy at all times to promote a professional workplace
  • Other duties as required i.e. general warehouse maintenance, scheduling vehicle maintenance, special requests, projects, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous warehouse, distribution or inventory experience is required
  • Dairy cattle industry experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with JD Edwards is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
