As a result, Westfield has grown to be the number one portable grain auger manufacturer in North America.OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator to add to our team in our facility in Rosenort, MB. The Safety Coordinator will plan, administer, manage, and maintain all health and safety related initiatives for 500+ employees, 3 shift manufacturing plant. The role reports to the Director of Operations.Responsibilities:

• Planning the health and safety program and protocols
• Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
• Analyzing health and safety data
• Deliver and facilitate structured safety and regulatory training, development programs and initiatives in support of the company #39;s training plan and objectives
• Update materials as regulations and legislations change
• Provide coaching, reinforcement of safety policy and procedures in cooperation with the leadership team
• Perform administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status
• Position will require candidate to have flexibility to conduct training sessions during any of the three operating shifts and be available to the needs of the various groups this position will support
• Maintain technical excellence levels for all Safety training material
• Improve local team performance through increasing skills and time to certification processes.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years #39; experience in Healthamp; Safety in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience leading Fall Arrest, Forklift, Working at Heights training.
• Willingness to work on the floor, with all shifts, in a heavy manufacturing world, to ensure we can document and teach critical work processes.
• Microsoft Office Experience Preferred- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms
• Results oriented person that looks for continuous improvement
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Able to partner and build relationships to influence teams to work together, share best practices and develop and drive effective training for operations teams.
• Strong partnering experience
