If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada, the employer will not consider your job application.Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YFNED) is seeking applications from individuals interested in being a Cook at Ross River School.If you are interested in working in a kitchen in a school, and have cooking experience, we would like to hear from you!We are looking for a community minded individual who is able to work effectively as a contributing team member, who is organized and likes to prepare a variety of traditional and non-traditional foods, hot meals and snacks. You must be able to meet daily deadlines for meal preparation and delivery.Primarily responsibilities include: meal planning, ordering and maintenance of food in the school kitchen; safe use, maintenance and storage of kitchen supplies; and preparing, cooking and serving hot meals Monday through Friday while school is in session.The ability to operate an efficient, safe and sanitary kitchen and culturally responsive meal program is necessary. Clean up of the kitchen is the responsibility of the cooks. Supporting school community events may also be required.Qualifications:

• Successful cooking experience
• Food Safe Level 1 or willingness to obtain in 3 months
• Standard First Aid & CPR is an asset.

Job requirement: All staff who work for YFNED in Yukon schools must have satisfactory criminal records check with vulnerable sector search completed.
