Labourer - Public WorksRegular Part-TimeThe City of Rossland is accepting applications for a part-time position within the Public Works Department. This is a CUPE 2087 Part-Time Labourer position with a guaranteed 20 hours per week and up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.The successful applicant will be expected to perform duties such as janitorial and waste management work in City owned facilities and routine park maintenance. Other duties may include operating minor equipment, planting and maintaining flower beds within parks and downtown Rossland, as well as other jobs assigned by the Public Works Department.This is a CUPE Local 2087 bargaining position and offers a (2023) labour rate of $32.77 / hour. The hours for this position will be based on seasonal and scheduled work and will vary from week- to-week depending on the needs of the Department. The applicant must be willing to work flexible hours during the week and on weekends, these hours may be day or evening shifts.Interested candidates MUST submit a cover letter and resume, indicating if they have completed their high school or equivalent, which type of driver’s licence they possess, and reference RPT2023.
