Job Description

RED Mountain Resort is currently accepting applications for a Janitor. The successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic, strong attention to detail and high commitment to maintaining our cleaning standards. This position will be responsible for the cleanliness of our buildings, and ensuring the comfort of our guests in our facilities. Successful candidates will be expected to work some holidays and weekends.Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Required to follow all COVID-19 safety policies and procedures
  • Meet and maintain the high standards of cleanliness as determined by our COVID-19 cleaning protocol and procedures
  • Perform cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing procedures at regular intervals at assigned locations including frequent cleaning of washrooms, and high-touch areas throughout the resort
  • Ensure washrooms, sanitization stations and other areas remain fully stocked
  • Prepare and complete documentation related to COVID requirements
  • Cleaning windows, inside and out
  • Empty garbage, breaking down all cardboard and removing to dumpsters
  • Ensuring the deck is clean and garbage can are emptied
  • Vacuuming lodge and offices when needed and emptying garbage
  • Ordering stock, and putting away all new stock when it comes in
  • Keeping janitor room clean and tidy
Skills & Abilities:
  • Grade 12 Education
  • Must meet the minimum physical requirements below:
    • Able to lift 12 kg overhead
    • Able to work on your feet for long period of time
  • Applicants must follow all COVID related safety protocols
  • Must have exceptional work habits, including being prompt and responsible
  • Enjoy working alone and under pressure, as well as in a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including understanding and anticipating the needs of customers
  • Outgoing personality and high standards of quality. Deal pleasantly with the pressure of a busy environment
