Job Description

Social Media CoordinatorWe’re looking for an enthusiastic social media coordinator to join our team to grow our social media channels. As a creative, clear writer and story-teller, you’ll be the voice behind The Josie & The Velvet Restaurant & Lounge’s social media accounts. You have a talent for creating engaging content and sharing that with the world. You’ll work with multiple departments and partners to share special event details, happenings throughout the hotel and restaurant, on-mountain activities along with guest and team member stories.Responsibilities include:

  • Create daily social media posts for The Josie and The Velvet social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Schedule content through Falcon.io
  • Work with in-hotel photographer to distribute the best of Rossland, RED & The Josie to our social media community in the form of photos, videos and stories
  • Capture ‘shareable’ photos throughout the hotel, Rossland and RED area to build content bank
  • Engage in our social media communities through replying to comments, questions and performing strategic following and liking on partner profiles
  • Reaching out and engaging in influencer profiles and content
  • Curate, moderate and seek permission to share user-generated content
  • Collaborate with hotel departments on special events, food and beverage offerings, resort and town events to generate appropriate content
  • Executive in-hotel social media strategy, to encourage guests to capture and share their Rossland and Josie experience
  • Report on account growth, analytics and engagement monthly
You’re great at: - Applying your sense of humor to compose social media posts in line with The Josie brand guidelines- Picking up a tone of voice to apply to your writing- Learning on the job- Jumping in to help the team where required- Keeping up to date with social media trends- Skiing / snowboarding skills a plus- Loves details, highly organized- Communicating, with team members and guestsContract length: 4 monthsJob Types: Part-time, TemporarySalary: From $20.00 per hourSchedule:
