Fee for Service– RussellEmployment Status: 1.0 EFT Permanent PositionQualifications:

  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
  • Must be a member in good standings with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
  • CCFP preferred
  • ACLS
Description:Family physician required to share a practice with experienced rural physicians.Russell Health Centre is a 32-bed acute care and 40 bed long term care facility. Services offered to the facility are Diagnostic, Ultrasound, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, and Home Care Services, Dialysis and the Satellite Community Cancer Program.The Town of Russell is located on Highways 16 and 83, approximately 15 km from the Saskatchewan border and 340 km northwest of Winnipeg. The community is home to approximately 1,300 people with a trading area population of over 14,000 and provides services to neighboring First Nations people.Russell is located only 27 km away from Asessippi Provincial Park and a world class ski facility and year-round family park. Lake of the Prairies, a 64 km long lake has third best pickerel fishing lake in North America.Russell provides an excellent environment for raising a family and combines the beauty of rural life with many of the benefits of urban living.
