Eagle Propane Sales is recruiting for delivery driver position to join our team, providing friendly service to our customers. We are a locally owned and operated propane fuel supplier for Vancouver Island. We will provide a training program that includes hands-on experience, product and safety training, and transportation of dangerous good certification.Job Description and Responsibilities- Delivery Driver, Full-time, and Long-term employment.- Wage: $20-$30.00/hour depending on experience.- Provide exceptional friendly service and exceed customers expectations.- Perform pre- post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and in good order.- Safely and efficiently deliver to multiple customers in different areas of lower Vancouver Island.- Perform bulk propane deliveries, loading and unloading delivery truck.- Physically fit and able to lift 50-60 pounds, and dolly propane cylinder.- Complete reporting, invoicing, and paperwork.Required Skills- High school diploma is a minimum required.- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract and record.- Must speak and write fluent English and communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers.- Efficiently able to work in tandem with team members and ability to work unsupervised.- Demonstrate understanding of, and comply with applicable legislations, including speed limits and mindfulness in driving as a representative of our company.- Physically fit and able to lift 50-60 pounds, and dolly propane cylinder.Experience and Assets- Good knowledge of Greater Victoria and Lower Vancouver Island.- Experience operating 1-ton / 5-ton trucks.- Experience driving and transporting dangerous goods.- General understanding of propane fuel and safety.- Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.- Comfortable driving and working at night and in unfavorable weather conditions.Application deadline: 2021-07-31Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
