Growing distributor of industrial / environmental products in Keating area is seeking a full time (35-40+ hours per week) warehouse and assembly person to join our small, highly motivated team. This position involves product assembly, shipping, receiving, general warehouse duties and cleaning. Estimated hours are 35-40+ hours per week depending on work load. Work hours would generally be within the hours of 8:00-5:00, Monday to Friday, limited OT or weekend work. This job is ideal for someone looking for full-time year round work to develop their skill set in a fun work environment. We are happy to train the right applicant, minimal experience is OK. This is not just a summer job.The successful applicant will have good people skills, be a self-starter and have a willingness to learn. Must be organized, hard working, self-motivated and in good physical condition. Must have valid BC Drivers License. Forklift and shipping or warehouse experience is an asset but not necessary.Job Entails: - Order Picking, Packing and hand wrapping product on pallets for shipping.- Picking and packaging customer orders for pick up.- Receive and verify incoming shipments and put away stock in proper locations.- Inventory Cycle Counts.- Assembly of products built in house.- Loading of trucks for local deliveries.- Maintain general cleanliness and order in the warehouse and yard.- Daily/weekly cleaning and general janitorial duties.- Communicating with other staff (office and warehouse) and freight carriers as needed about work, shipments, etc…- Other warehouse and cleaning duties as required.Job Requirements / Skills Required: - Must be on time for scheduled work day and complete all required hours.- Must have vehicle for transportation to/from work, we are close to Keating X Road but not on a bus route.- Strong attention to detail and good time management.- Great communication skills and a can-do, positive attitude.- Prior experience in a warehouse/distribution environment is beneficial.- Basic Computer Skills (working knowledge of internet browsers, Excel, Word & Outlook)- Ability to work in a team environment, but also able to work independently with minimal direction.- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.- Basic knowledge of operating pallet/hand jacks.- Forklift (certified) experience is beneficial but not required.- Essential physical requirements include sitting, standing, and bending as needed.- Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.- Must have valid BC Drivers License with clean abstract.Only selected applicants will be contacted by e-mail or telephone.
